Here at Digitally Unique, we like to think of ourselves as SEO experts. Even experts need tools, though, and we have a handful of free SEO tools in our arsenal that help us deliver effective results for our clients. This post will look at a few of our favourite SEO tools that we use to turbocharge our SEO campaigns. Interested? Keep reading to learn more.
Google Ads Keyword Planner
Keywords are at the heart of any successful SEO campaign, so we must be able to identify keywords that will deliver success. This is not as easy as it seems, which is why we use handy tools like Google Ads Keyword Planner. This free SEO tool allows you to see various statistics for keywords and phrases, including monthly search volume. This can make it much easier to identify keywords that will deliver results (and those that won’t).
Google PageSpeed Insights
Web pages must also have a strong performance and fast loading speeds. Google PageSpeed Insights is one of our most used tools as it tests the performance and loading speed for URLs on desktop and mobile, providing a score out of 100. It will also suggest ways that improvements can be made to improve SEO ranking and usability.
Google Analytics
It is hard to imagine running an SEO campaign without using Google Analytics. Google Analytics provides data on different aspects of a website's performance as well as user behaviour. This allows for data-driven decisions to be made so that we can fine-tune for higher levels of success.
Yoast SEO
Yoast SEO is another handy SEO tool that we use to optimise content for search engines. Yoast SEO provides real-time feedback while creating content, including suggestions on how to improve for SEO. You can also set a focus keyword for each article, which will then be evaluated to determine how well this word or phrase has been integrated into the content, considering both SEO and readability.
Exploding Topics
Sometimes, in SEO, it can be difficult to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to content topics. By the time a trend has developed, it is often too late to take advantage of. Fortunately, there is a great solution to this in the form of Exploding Topics. This is a handy tool that allows you to identify topics that are sharply rising in popularity but have not yet hit the mainstream.
Moz Link Explorer
Moz Link Explorer is another tool that we can’t imagine life without. Moz provides a few useful tools, but Link Explorer is our favourite as this is how we understand and analyse the backlink profile of a website. The tool provides information on how many backlinks there are, anchor text used, the domain authority, and much more. With this information, we can develop link-building strategies and conduct competitor analysis (a key component of SEO).
These are a few of our favourite free SEO tools that we use to develop effective SEO campaigns. When we combine our SEO expertise with an arsenal of handy tools, we can help our clients climb through the rankings and reach higher levels of success.
